Thereafter they were beaten up at the Setapak Police Station lock up by an Indian mandore police man S.I.O. ASP Shan Gopal who had forced them to plead guilty and sign the statements or else they would be jailed for 10 years. All done to please and to be in the good books of his Malay UMNO police tuans. This is not the first time Shan Gopal is terrorizing the poor Indians in Setapak.
